"Your prescription for a picture perfect lawn." COOL-SEASON LAWNS (Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue) 1. Apply broadleaf herbicides two weeks before seeding 2. Core aerate 3. Apply Dyna Green Winterizer in September & then again in October/November PLANTING A NEW LAWN 1. Prepare seed bed by removing debris & large rocks, then tilling to a depth of 4 to 6 inches 2. Smooth soil by raking and dragging 3. Apply Dyna Green Starter fertilizer 4. Sow Independence - the St. Louis Tall Fescue Blend 5. Incorporate seed and fertilizer at 1/3 to 1/2 inch with a very light raking 6. Roll surface with medium weight roller or tamp to ensure good seed to soil contact 7. Keep surface moist with frequent light waterings. Seed will not germinate in dry soil. 8. Mow when new plants are approximately 3 inches tall. Set mower to high setting until new lawn is established SPOT REPAIR 1. Remove as much loose grass and weeds as possible 2. Loosen soil with renovator or rake to expose soil 3. Apply Dyna Green Starter fertilizer 4. Sow Independence - the St. Louis Tall Fescue Blend 5. Firm the soil to ensure good seed to soil contact 6. Keep soil moist until seed has germinated
